At a Glance
The City has witnessed an unprecedented growth in last 24 years which is reflected as per census-2011 population around 11.20 Lac.
Per day garbage generation within the area of Municipal Corporation is about 700 metric tons. 100% garbage is collected from the door steps of 6,443 Housing societies, 800 Commercial and educational institutions and Industrial Premises on daily basis.
Service provided by Solid Waste Management Department on out source basis.
- Daily Road sweeping, Gutter cleaning & pre-monsoon Gutter cleaning.
- Removal of obstacles from Natural streams, Channels once in a year.
- Mechanized road sweeping and washing of Street furniture, Road, Sign Boards, Railing and Divider.
- Door step garbage collection, transfer and transportation to the central collection area.
- Services for mechanical and manual housekeeping at Head Office.
